During clubs this month, we've made a trebuchet, made a healthy fruity snack, created our very own wands, and learned about physical fitness!
Thank you so much to all the parents and kids that participated in the Lights On! Conference! We had a fabulous time singing and practicing with your children. A special thanks to all of the parents that came to watch the performance! We appreciate all that you do to support our program!
Thank you for completing registration for next semester. If you have not yet had the opportunity, we would love to reserve a spot for your child on our waiting list. Please come speak with an ASC leader for any details that you may need.
Also, remember that we're going on a field trip this Friday. Please make sure that your permission forms are handed in to the leader at the sign in table. They also have blank forms available if you need to fill one out.
Welcome back to ASC! We hope everyone had a happy and healthy Winter Break!
We're excited to welcome some new additions to our team! We have three new leaders that are passionate about teaching kids and having fun. If you get the chance, stop in and meet them!
This month our clubs are focused on computers & technology, sports, fossils & animals, and sewing & life skills.
Registration is closed, but we're always accepting candidates for our wait list. If you have any questions, please feel free to come in and talk to the Site Manager or Site Director.
Thanks for all that you do!

Today we enjoyed a guest speaker who shared information with us about being an art major and the career opportunities available!
Please remember that field trip forms for our trip to Gossner's Factory are due tomorrow for any 3rd, 4th, or 5th graders who would like to attend.
Just a heads up we have a field trip coming up. We will be going on a field trip on February 20th. Please watch for a field trip form to come home. There is no ASC from the 11th-16th of February.
This month and next month we have guest speakers coming to talk to us about healthy friendships and how to be good friends.
Last week we went on a field trip to the USU art museum. We walked from our school to Utah State's campus, we enjoyed looking at all the different buildings and seeing the different art structures on campus. We got to go inside of the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art. We got to sit around an art piece that was made up of Wooden Shoes. It also made music when we put a quarter into the machine. We learned that art pieces can be more than just visual, it can use all five senses (well we were asked not to touch, so four). When we went to see the exhibit that was featured at the museum we learned about a College where the students decided what they wanted to learn when it came to art and design. We thought it was so cool that they did not get graded on their work and they were exploring new ways to learn. The curators even let us play with and we were able to build geometric structures. We loved learning about art and exploring campus!
This week we are having soccer club sign ups. If your child is interested in joining the soccer club please feel free to talk to the Site Director or the Site Manager about signing up. If you have an questions feel free to come and talk to any of the staff members.
Have a great week! :)

This week we have some really fun clubs planned for the students! Today for our Monday Activities we made four leaf clover hand prints, we learned how to have positive attitudes, and we also played the animal noise game. The students had a lot of fun working together and learning new things.
Just a heads up, Friday is a half day of school for Teacher Professional Development and we won't have ASC.

Have an awesome week!

Thank you to everyone who completed the parent survey! This helps us to know what you like and where we can improve at ASC. Also, thanks to those who came to our Parent Night. It was a huge success! We enjoyed a fun Hawaiian Luau with pizza, Lei making, a photo booth, flower hair pins, learning the Hula and the Haka. It was great to see lots of parents and family members supporting our program.
Last month some of our students participated in a soccer tournament and played against other after school programs. This was fun to see the students work hard as a team while playing soccer. Thanks to the parents, teachers and cheerleaders who came out to support our students!
On Friday (tomorrow) we will be going on a field trip to the Zoo! This will be a great experience for the students! Please don't forget to turn your permission slip in by today to ensure that your student will be going on the field trip. Once again thank you parents for all that you do!

ASC is almost over so please make sure that you make arrangements for your students. Our last day for ASC is on May 8th. We have had so much fun this school year with your students. We appreciate all of the support we have received from our parents!
Since we had so many students bring back the parent surveys we were able to reach our goal! Two of our teachers were voted to have pies thrown in their faces! Thanks parents for your help and support!
